Chapter 1 Becoming an Online Learner

Chapter one begins by giving student information on the importance of assessing onesself to determine if online learning is for them. This chapter helped me to uderstand  if I am ready   to become an online learner. It basically prepares the new learner for the upcoming task.

Chapter 7 Who, What, When, Where, How and Why

This chapter gave me insight on how to post emails and how others may interpret what  you typed the wrong way. I learned the importance of creating a professional looking  background. I learned how to effectively comunicate with others electronically.

Chapter 6 Types of Online Classroom

This chapter was helpaful in informing me that there are other online classroom other Learning  Management Systems other than Blackboard. Before now I did not know this.

Chapter 5 The Online Classroom and Community

This chapter gave me insight on when it is necesary to contact the instructor. It also gives information on a response time. It tells the online learner what to expect from the instructor.

Chapter 4 The commitments of an Online Student; Managing Your Priorities

Chapter 4 give online teaches online learners the importance of Managing his/her time wisely. It shows students how to keep calendars and make sure that all responsibilities are taken care of.  It also helps students to understand how important it is to not procrastinate.

Chapter 3 Motivation and Goal Setting

This chapter gives the online learner tools to help motivate them to set goals and to accomplish these goal. It is also good for helping students get through the difficult and stressful days of online learning.

Chapter 2 Self Discovery for the Online Learner

This chapter was very helpful in teaching the online learner how to identify  his/her own strengths and weakness and how to use the strenghs to his/her advantage
